Frances Evelyn Gregg Huggins

Frances Evelyn Gregg Huggins, 98, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House. Ms. Huggins was born in Florence County, SC, the daughter of the late Grace Evelyn Floyd Gregg and Leonard Harold Gregg. She retired as a receptionist from Holbrooks Jewelers and Finklea Movies. She was an active member of Evergreen Baptist Church and put flowers in the church from her garden. Ms. Huggins loved gardening and sewing and making dresses for Samaritan’s Purse. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Percy Powell Huggins, Jr; daughter, Rebecca Ann Finklea; son, Timothy Gregg Huggins; and brothers, Jack Gregg, Bruce Gregg and Jimmy Gregg. Surviving are her sons, Marshall Huggins (Deborah) and David Huggins, all of Florence, SC; many grandchildren and nieces and nephews; and sisters, Edna Earl Hanna and Ann Hatchell.
