Frances Hobbs Drummond

FRANCES HOBBS DRUMMOND FLORENCE, SC FRANCES HOBBS DRUMMOND, 77, of Florence, died Saturday, September 04, 2010. Mrs. Drummond was born in Onslow Co., NC a daughter of the late Mannie Linza Hobbs and Maiebel Lanier Hobbs.She was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and by a brother, Mannie Junior Hobbs. Surviving are her husband of almost 57 years, Edward Custis Drummond of Florence; children, Patti (Terry) Fulks of Huntsville, Alabama, Mark (Kim Burkett) Drummond, Steve (Dara Lawhon) Drummond and Wayne Anthony (Kim Poston) Drummond, all of Florence; grandchildren, Heather Avins, Courtney Hudson, Cameron Fulks, Colin Fulks, Abby Drummond, Austin Drummond, Walker Drummond, Chasity Drummond and Cole Drummond; siblings, William (Mary) Hobbs of Florence, James (Jan) Hobbs, of Hohenwald, Tennessee and Alice (Larry) Lamoureaux of Billings, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews including, Richard (Wendy) Hobbs, Michelle Hobbs (Bob) Woodworth, Eddie Hobbs, Edward B. (Llewelyn) Drummond and Debbie (Kurt) Schollenberger, of which she was especially close to;many great nieces and nephews; many great-great nieces and nephews; special friends, Robert and Janet Elvis and a sister-in-law, Ann Hobbs. Memorials may be made to the South Carolina Chapter Alzheimer’s Association, 3223 Sunset Blvd., Suite 100, West Columbia, SC29169. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in the Garden of Freedom at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
