Franklin Delano Collier

Franklin Delano Collier, 88, of Florence, went home to be with his Savior on Monday, February 7, 2022. Mr. Collier was born the son of the late Ida Collier and Silas Collier. He worked most of his career in heating and air conditioning.After his retirement, he worked part-time at CSX Railroad as a PTI driver.He was a member of Palmetto Street Church of God. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his son, Michael Lee Collier and sister, Jean Moore. Mr. Collier is survived by his wife, Frances Jeanette Hunt Collier; sons, Stephen Collier (Laura) of Lynchburg, VA and Franklin D. Collier, Jr. of Florence; grandchildren, James Michael Collier, Carrie Jordan Collier, Kameron Elizabeth Collier, Megan Collier Bussert (Bret) and Christopher Collier; great-grandchild, Warren James Davis; and sister, Phyliss Messager of Detroit, MI. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 11, 2022, at Palmetto Street Church of God directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Family will speak to friends following the service.Burial will take place at a later date in Lynchburg, VA.
