Gary Warwick Stone Florence, SC Gary Warwick Stone, 58 of Florence, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Stone was born in Florence, Co. a son of the late Warwick and Mildred Bair Stone.He is a US Navy Veteran having served during Vietnam.He was the Owner/Operator of GWS Trucking and was a self employed welder and machinist.Mr. Stone was a member of First Baptist Church of Florence and he truly enjoyed making Mission work sponsored by West Florence Baptist Church under the late Pastor Ren "R.L." Sykes. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Katherine Hall Stone of the home; a step-son, Kenneth Wesley Collins of Florence; three brothers, David Earl Stone, William L. Stone and Walton E. Stone all of Florence; two sisters, Linda L. Stone and Mary Louise Stone both of Florence; and his siblings from his father's previous marriages, Ann, Martha, John, & Charles. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Florence Area Humane Society, PO Box 4808, Florence, SC 29502. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Monday, July 11, 2011 at the funeral home.
