George Alan Fipps, Jr.

George Alan “A.J.” Fipps, Jr., 32, of Florence, SC passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. Mr. Fipps was born in Florence, SC a son of George Alan Fipps and Deirdre Brown Fipps. He was a carpenter by trade and owner and operator of Fipps Personal Porches, LLC. He was a member of Calvary Chapel of Florence, loved music, spending time with family and being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul Fipps and grandmother, Patsy Brown. Surviving are his parents; his wife, Ariel Jones Fipps; sons, Shayne Fipps and Travin Strickland; birth mother, Angela (Gigi) Kershner; sisters, Sabrina (Angelica) Gamez and Bridgett (Rob) Fipps; brothers, Chris (Marla) Bass, Adam (Destiny) Bass, and Jacob (Amber) Bass; maternal grandparents, Patsy Matthews and John Wisniewski; paternal grandmother, Rozela Fipps; mother-in-law, Jewel Jones, and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 3:00 pm in the funeral home chapel.
