George Moses Rotann

George Moses Rotann, 89. of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Mr. Rotann was born the son of the late Ozela Clara Isgett Rotann and John Lawrence Rotann. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mr. Rotann retired from USDA as a meat inspector. He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Inez Mae Cottros Rotann; son, George “Larry” Rotann of Hartsville; daughters, Ronda R. (David) Alderman of Florence, Martha “Marti” (Buddy) Rainwater of Florence, and Karen “Kitty” (Jake) Miller of Litchfield Beach, SC; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Carolyn Godfrey of Florence. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers, Legette Rotann and Lawton S. Rotann; and sisters, Isla Cooke and Johnnie Cowick. Funeral service will be held at Mount Hope Mausoleum Chapel at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 12, 2022, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
