George Cody Wheeler

George Cody Wheeler passed away on May 23, 2022.He was born on October 10, 1934, to George Dewey Wheeler and Thelma Cody Wheeler.George attended the Citadel and the University of South Carolina.In 1953 he joined the army and served during the Korean Conflict. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Joy Wheeler Brown. Mr. Wheeler is survived by his sister, Kathryn Jo Wheeler Hinnant; nephews, Ernest Bryant Hinnant, Jr., Coley (Shelly) Culpepper Hinnant, Dewey (Vickie) Wheeler Hinnant, Cody McGill Hinnant, and Marcus Dewey Brown; and niece, Greta Ann Brown. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to First Presbyterian Church, 700 S.
