Geraldine Crosby Player

Geraldine Crosby Player, 78, of Florence, SC, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023. Mrs. Player was born the daughter of the late Mary McAlister Crosby and John W. Crosby. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked in private duty nursing. She was a member of Church of God of Prophecy where she was an adult Sunday School teacher and, for ten years, was the Church Clerk and Treasurer. Mrs. Player was also a gospel singer many years ago. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie J. Player; son, Terry Player, and daughter, Nancy Player. She was the last of her family of eight siblings. Surviving are her sons, Kenneth J. (Diane) Player and Donnie J. (Debbie) Player; and special daughter, Beverly Player, all of Florence; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 15, 2023, at Matthews Cemetery in Coward, SC, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
