Glaspy “Mack” Parker, 87, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024. Mr. Parker was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Otto I. Parker and Leila Mae Pate Parker. He was a lifelong member of Liberty Chapel Church of Florence and a member of Woodmen of the World for over 50 years. Mack retired from Koppers and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He was an affectionate family man with a deep love and pride for his children and an even greater love for his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mack had a passion for farming and gardening. He enjoyed sharing the fruits of his labor with family, friends, and neighbors. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Donna Y. Parker; siblings, Jim, Bob, Lila, Walter, Hazel, Myrtle, Otto, Jr., Clyde, and Mary; and grandson, Joshua Harmon. Surviving are his children, Jeannie (Roger) Bailey, Teresa Harmon, Linda (Stan) Kenimer, Andy Parker, and Dawn (Bruce) Cook; grandchildren, Casey Allen, Haley (Joshua) Ham, Jacob Harmon, Zack (Hali) Parker, Matthew (Brittany) Cook, Allie (Luke) Parker, Peyton Parker, and Rachel Cook; great-grandchildren, Baylee, Brantley, Linson, Emma Grace, Gannon, Silas, Brantley, and Rowdy. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at Liberty Chapel Church of Florence. Burial will follow in Liberty Chapel Cemetery.
