Gloria Martin Coldren, 80, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2023. Mrs. Coldren was born August7, 1942, the daughter of the late Oliver Edward Martin and Daisey Irene Anderson Martin Parker. She graduated from South Florence High School and retired from Florence Shoe and Leather. She was a devoted member of the Central United Methodist Church, for 32 years, and served in countless ministries throughout the church. She loved her church and considered its members as her church family. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Barry Musser Coldren; son Charles “Chuck” Walters Jr.; granddaughter, Lauren Phillips; brothers, Ronald Martin, and Richard Parker; and stepfather Richard M. Parker Surviving is her daughter, Nellie (Rehemer) Phillips; brother, Kenneth Lynn (Lisa) Parker; sisters, Barbara Jean Martin Holladay and Kathy (Kenny) McCormick; her granddaughter, Heather (Jonathan) Anderson; daughter in law, Phyliss Walters, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 PM Sunday, January 29, 2023, in the commons area of Central United Methodist Church with the service to be held at 3:00 pm in the church sanctuary. Entombment will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Central United Methodist Church, 225 W.
