Grady Eugene Queen

Grady Eugene Queen, 91, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023. Mr. Queen was born the son of the late Lillie Alice Price Queen and John Thomas Queen. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps and a retired Process Engineer at Abbott Laboratories. He was a faithful member of Florence Baptist Temple. Mr. Queen loved the Lord, his church, and his family. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, Frank Queen, Carl Queen, Henry Queen, George Queen, Fred Queen and Earl Queen; his sisters, Audra Black, Ruth Green and Grace Mann; and a number of precious nieces and nephews. Mr. Queen is survived by his wife, Dorothy Thomas Queen; sons, Dr. Jeffrey S. Queen (Brandon) of Knoxville, TN and Gregory T. Queen (Wanda) of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Cameron R. Thomas and Crystal L. Bledsoe; great-grandchildren, Michael C. Pulliam, Christopher R. Bledsoe, Cole M. Thomas, Zara S. Thomas and Eleanor R. Thomas, and a number of precious of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Florence Baptist Temple. Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
