Grover Cleveland Grainger, Jr.

GROVER CLEVELAND GRAINGER, JR. FLORENCE, S.C. Grover Cleveland Grainger, Jr., 76, of Florence, passed away Monday, November 14, 2011 in McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mr. Grainger was born in Conway, a son of the late Grover Cleveland and Isla Mishoe Grainger, Sr. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Mr. Grainger was a U.S. Marine veteran, and was a salesman and self-employed auctioneer. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Sharon Walters Grainger of Effingham; 3 sons, Kent (Tracy) Grainger of Effingham, Seth (Cheryl) Grainger of Fort Mill and Eric (Myra) Grainger of Florence; daughter, Janine (Alex) Kea of Effingham; Sisters, Era Lee Williamson of Conway and Sandra Dawn Shaver of Aynor; and 12 grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, November 17, 2011 in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery in Galivants Ferry, near Aynor, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home of Florence; The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 P.M.
