Hallie K. Bodor Wightman Hallie K. Bodor Wightman passed away peacefully on October 10, 2011. She was born in Norlina, NC on Christmas Eve, 1923. Even as a child she knew her calling was nursing and she earned her Registered Nurse diploma at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Richmond, VA. She continued with advanced training at Johns Hopkins University and later at Sacred Heart Hospital in Allentown, PA where she became a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist.Throughout her life she worked in various nursing positions, most recently at the Florence Department of Health. Hallie was a gifted seamstress, musician (organ, piano and accordion) and a lifelong book and education enthusiast.Of particular interest to her, were topics of nutrition, holistic and herbal healing and national politics.She was a devout Christian and a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.Her kindness, consideration and generosity to all will be her lasting legacy. Hallie was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Bodor and by her mother, Luvenia Albright. She leaves behind her second husband, John Wightman; son and daughter-in-law, Anton and Elizabeth Bodor of Scarborough, ME; daughter and son-in-law, Martha Jane and James Boughey of San Rafael, CA; grandsons, Nicholas of New Orleans, LA and Christopher of Wilmington, DE; sister and brother-in-law, Clara and Lindsay Rush of Garner, NC and dear friend and neighbor, Debra W. White of Florence, SC.Hallie will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Friends are invited to join a celebration of Hallie’s life at a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 2536 West Hoffmeyer Road, Florence, SC at 11 AM on Friday, October 14, 2011 with internment to follow at Mt.
