Harold Eddie "Ed" Mullinax

Harold Eddie “Ed” Mullinax, 85, of Florence, SC passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Mr. Mullinax was born in Greenville, SC a son of the late Harry Winston Mullinax and Lou Ellen Whitted Mullinax. He served in the US Army from 1959 – 1962 and was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple where he had served as a deacon. Ed retired from CSX Railroad after 50 years of service and was formerly vice-president of the American Train Dispatcher Association. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Barbara Long Mullinax; son, Eddie (Michael) Mullinax, Jr.; daughters, Sandy (John) McInnes, Carolyn Hettinghouse, and Kathy (Paul) Saunders; grandchildren, Brittany Bennett, Brooke Holloman, Bryan Hettinghouse, III, John McInnes IV, Hannah McInnes, Will Mullinax, Laura Mullinax; great-grandchildren, Leah Holloman, Aubrey Holloman, and John McInnes V. Memorials may be made to St. Jude, www.stjude.org or to the Frank Monroe Scholarship Fund, c/o Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 South Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 am Saturday, February 25, 2023 at the Florence Baptist Temple with the service to be held at 11:00 am at the church. Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
