Harry Eugene Evans

Harry Eugene Evans, 75, of Summerton SC, formerly of Florence, passed away at his home Tuesday, October 18, 2022. Mr. Evans was born in Hyman, South Carolina. He was the son of the late Wardie Lawton Evans and the late Lois Marie Isgett Evans. Mr. Evans served his country in the Vietnam War. He retired from Dupont of Florence and founded and retired from Evans Heating and Air, Inc. He was a member of the Florence Baptist Temple. Surviving are his daughter, Amy Jackson of Darlington; his son, Harry E. Evans, Jr. (Angel Waddell), of Florence; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Jackson (Matthew Bainbridge) of London, England and Evan Jackson of Florence; his sister, Lois Windham, and brothers, Lawton and Jordan Evans. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his sister, Cecil Allen, and his brothers Samuel and David Evans. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 24, 2022, graveside at Florence National Cemetery. Family will receive friends on Monday following the service at the home of his daughter, 3270 Post and Point Farm Road, Darlington, SC 29532. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, P.O.
