HILDA ELIZABETH TURNER POSTON PAMPLICO, S.C. Hilda Elizabeth Turner Poston, 91, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away Monday, April 25, 2011 at her home, surrounded by her loving and attentive daughters. Mrs. Poston was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late D. Henry and Elizabeth Page Turner.She was a member of Pamplico First Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Joy Club and Adult Ladies #2 Sunday School Class. She loved gardening, was an excellent cook and a wonderful mother. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Thursday, April 28, 2011 in the Pamplico First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Poston Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends in the church Family Life Center, from 2-3:00 P.M. on Thursday. Survivors include her 6 daughters, Shelby P. (Harry) Parkhurst of Lake City; Dianne P. (Ray) Dellinger of Florence; Kay P. Bolovschak (Robert Scliffet) of Roswell, Ga.; Donna P. (Dan) Cox of Lake City; Phyllis P. (Carroll) Baggett of Pamplico and Carla P. (Dr. Roddie) Crouch of Roswell, Ga.; her sister, Betty "Doll" Bennett of Pamplico;8 Grandchildren; Al and GreggParkhurst, Sheila P. Godwin, Neil and Chad Cox, all of Lake City; Russ Dellinger of Florence; Trina D. Gleissner of Santa Barbara, CA. and Dr. Ashley Baggett of Columbia, S.C.; 19 great-grandchildren; Wes, Blake, Haley, Bryce, Peyton, and Preston Parkhurst, Allison and Parker Godwin, all of Lake City; Josh, Jansson and Grace Dellinger of Florence; Brooklyn, Daniel, Dixie, Ryan, Kyle, Tatum, Harper, and Kingston Cox, all of Lake City; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, W. Herman Poston and her siblings, Celeste Myers, Mary Frances Moore, Jean Cox, Hugh Turner and Charles Turner. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.Her absence will be strongly felt on "Cozy" Corner" by her wonderful and caring neighbors where she resided for 61 years.
