Hoyt Alexander Perkins

Hoyt Alexander Perkins, Sr, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at home with his family. Mr. Perkins was born the son of the late Flossie Mae Blackmon Perkins and Willie Joseph Perkins. He was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Mr. Perkins was a retired machinist and his favorite pastime was fishing. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Naomi Conyers Perkins; son, William Harold Perkins; brothers, Bill Perkins, Buck Perkins, Bobby Perkins and two brothers that passed away at birth. Mr. Perkins is survived by his daughter, Juanita (Wayne W.) Purvis of Effingham; son, Hoyt Alexander (Sheryl) Perkins, Jr. of Florence; brother, Harry Perkins of Florence; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, December 12, 2022, at Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
