Huggins "Von" Turner

Huggins “Von” Turner, 77, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. Mr. Turner was born a son of the late Edna Huggins Turner and Andrew J. Turner.He was a veteran of the US Army and served during Vietnam.He was a member of Eastside Christian Church where he sang in the choir and was a former Deacon. In addition to parents, he is predeceased by his brothers, J. L. Turner, Jr. Turner and Harold Turner; sisters, Hazel Oldfield and Eva Smith; and special friend, Jimmy Ratley. Mr. Turner is survived by his wife, Sandra Hucks Turner, son, Rodney Turner (Angie); daughter, Tanya Turner O’Neal (R.J.); grandchildren, Katelen Turner, Caleb Turner, Tyler Moses and Emily Turner; sisters, Wanda Stroud, Betty Stone, and Earlese Vance; and special friend, Danny Watford. Graveside service will be held at Florence National Cemetery on Monday, November 1, 2021, at 2:00 PM directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects from 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Sunday, October 31, 2021, at the funeral home.Family will not be present.
