Irene Jean Crump

IRENE JEAN CRUMP AUGUSTA, GA. IRENE JEAN CRUMP, 70, formerly of Florence, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2012 in an Augusta hospital after an illness. Mrs. Crump was born in Oakland, CA, and a daughter of the late Arthur and Hermaine Winks Rutherford. Mrs. Crump was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robbie Cantey; two brothers, Buddy Miller and Ronnie Rutherford. Mrs. Crump is survived by five children, Todd Cantey, Richard Cantey, Kira Cantey (Niel) Ptachcinski, Wayne (Pam) Rickenbaker, and Alex Rickenbaker; eleven grandchildren; five great-granchildren; a brother, Ken Rutherford; and a sister, Ruth Karns. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2012 at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
