Isabelita "Lita" Santos Turner

Isabelita “Lita” Santos Turner, 67, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2023. Mrs. Turner was born the daughter of the late Ma. Mercedes Padua Santos and Angel Ad. Santos. She graduated cum laude at Polytechnic University of the Philippines with the degree of Bachelor of Science major in Education (batch 1977), took post grad studies in business administration and worked for Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic Abuse for 25 years and retired as Finance Director in 2020. Mrs. Turner attended Faith Covenant and Filipino Christian Community Church (FCC). In addition to her parents, is predeceased by her brothers, Leonilo Santos and Leopoldo Santos (Rebecca Reyes Santos); and sisters, Socorro “Cory” Santos Mercado (Ranilo Mercado) and Angela Santos Dela Cruz. Mrs. Turner is survived by her husband of 30 years, William Turner; brother, Leonardo “Ding” P. Santos (Rechilda Alvarez Santos); sisters, Ma. Mercedes “Ditas” Santos Romantico (Vic Romantico) and Olivia “Olive” Santos Dayao (Francisco “Frank” Carlos Dayao); siblings-in-law, Danny Ray Turner, David Thomas Turner, Jacob Don Turner, Ginger Larke (Gene Larke), Olivia Dela Merced Santos, and Ramon Dela Cruz. Family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 PM on Friday, August 4, 2023, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2023, at Filipino Christian Community Church (FCC). Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by StoudenmireDowling Funeral Home.
