Isla Pearl Ransom Horne

Isla Pearl Ransom Horne, 81, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Mrs. Horne was born the daughter of the late Rosa Long and Bruce Wayne Ransome. She worked in Human Resources at J. C. Penney. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Louis Horne, Sr.; her son, Mark Louis Horne, Sr.; sister, Frances McNeil; brothers, Jessie Ransome and Billy Ransome; and her dog, Buster. Surviving are her sons, Kenneth “Kenny” (Susie) Horne, Jr., of Florence, SC, Tony Horne, of Leesburg, SC, and Rodney (Susan) Horne, of Doraville, GA; grandchildren, Brandon (Taylor) Horne of Florence, SC, Mark (Rachel) Horne, Jr. of St. Charles, MO and Kenneth A. Horne of Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren, Blakely Horne, Madelyn Cox, Scarlett Horne and Natalie Horne; two nephews, five nieces, Sylvia, Jean, Sharon, Pamela and Teresa; three great-nieces, four great-nephews, three great-great-nieces, two great-great-nephews, four great-great-great-nephews and devoted sister-in-law, Barbara. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 13, 2023, at Eastside Christian Church. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
