Jackie Lloyd Williams

Jackie Lloyd Williams, 93, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, July 28, 2022. Mr. Williams was born in Louisville, KY a son of the late Thomas Williams and Jane Hughes Bland.He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran having served during WWII and the Korean Conflict, and was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Jackie had worked for the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad which later became Seaboard Railroad.He coached little league and pony league baseball at Maple Park in Florence for many years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas Williams, Willie Williams, Llewellyn Williams; sisters, Maggie Williams and Jenny Watson; half-brother, Eddie Bland. Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Mae Flowers Williams; sons, William Terence (Martha) Williams of Columbia, SC and Kevin Lee (Michelle) Williams of Nashville, TN; daughters, Pamela Jean Ricks of Lexington, SC, Debbie (Tommy) Griffin and Jackie Williams, both of Florence; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; half-sister, Gloria Burnett of Louisville, KY.
