Jacqueline “Jackie” Mitchum Windham, of Florence, SC, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Mrs. Windham was born in Williamsburg County of South Carolina on March 17, 1926. Mrs. Windham was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Florence, SC. She was predeceased by her husband Clyde Clayton Windham. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Thomas (Mac) and her son, Ronald Windham, both of Florence, South Carolina. Her grandchildren include Laura Pusser (Jay), Clay Windham (Katelyn) and Emily Finklea (Tom). Great grandchildren include Addison and Hampton Pusser, Jacqueline and Slone Finklea, all of Florence, SC. Step grandchildren Valerie Rawl (Jeff) and Melanie Brown (Chris),step great grandchildren are Jordan Cathcart (Carter), Abby Rawl, Gordon, Grant and Lilly Brown all of Blythewood, S.C. Known to most that knew and loved her, she was referred to as “Granny.” Granny was defined by the boundless love she had for her children and grandchildren. Her heart was a wellspring of warmth and wisdom, always guiding her family with gentle hands, a full stomach, and a loving spirit. She found joy in every moment shared with them. Whether it was frying chicken, babysitting, playing dodgeball, or simply offering a listening ear, she was one of a kind. Her children were her pride and joy, and grandchildren and great grandchildren were the light of her life. She cherished every milestone, every laughter filled gathering, and every quiet moment spent together. Granny’s door was always open to anyone who wanted to visit. Though she is no longer with us, the love she poured into her family will continue to live in the hearts of those that loved her. Graveside services will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery, Florence, S.C. at 11:00am on Friday 16, 2024. Directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
