James "Jimmy" Whitley Kennedy

James “Jimmy” Whitley Kennedy, 53, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024, at McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Kennedy was born in Florence County, a son of Elaine Byrd Kennedy and the late Pierce Whitley Kennedy. He worked in the computer department at McLeod Hospital for twenty-one years and was a member of Abundant Life Church. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Elaine Byrd Fulgham and Alton Fulgham; his sons, Kyle Kennedy of Turbeville and Sam Kennedy of Florence; and daughter, Morgan Kennedy of Florence. Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
