JAMES L. “Bub”WILLIAMS FLORENCE, SC JAMES L. “Bub”WILLIAMS, 75, of Effingham, a retired tug boat captain, went to meet his heavenly father on Monday, November 08, 2010 in a Florence hospital after a brief illness. Mr. Williams was born in Georgetown Co., SC a son of the late James T. Williams and Rita Mae Collins.He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. Surviving are his loving wife of 47 years, Frances Parsons Williams of the home; son, Pastor James E. (JoAnn) Freeman of Clio, SC; daughters, Lucy (Bob) Smart of Timmonsville and Donna (Gerald) Flowers of Pamplico; eight grandchildren and many loving great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pamplico Pentecostal Holiness Church, Chosen 129 Youth Group Bus Fund, PO Box 66, Pamplico, SC29583. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2010 in Woodside Cemetery, Pamplico, SC, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the residence, 7343 Francis Marion Road, Effingham.
