James Edward McLeod, 86, of Florence, died October 21, 2021 at McLeod Hospice House. Mr. McLeod was born in Florence, SC on November 22, 1934.Jimmy was the son of the late Sheriff Edward Armond McLeod and Myrtle Ghoens McLeod.He worked for CSX Railroad as a conductor for 40 years and was married to his high school sweetheart, Glenda DuBose McLeod for 64 years.He was a member of Central United Methodist Church.In his younger years, he loved to hunt and enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden.After retirement, he enjoyed helping his daughter and son-in-law in the car business.He taught Becky how to “Wheel and Deal”. Jimmy is survived by his loving wife ; three daughters, Libby McLeod Davis (Robert) of Lake Wateree, Suzanne McLeod Mozingo (Derrick) of Myrtle Beach, and Becky McLeod Windham (Dean) of Scranton; three grandchildren, Amanda Davis Jeter (Thomas) of Charlotte, James Dean Windham of Columbia, and Dawson McLeod Windham of Scranton; great-granddaughter, Anastasia Claire Jeter. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Mount Hope Cemetery with Rev. Thomas Pietila assisting the family, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
