JAMES MURRY PADGETT Pamplico, SC JAMES MURRY PADGETT, 82, of Pamplico, SC died Wednesday, October 27, 2010 in a local healthcare facility after an illness. He was born in Florence County, SC a son of the late James Oded Padgett and Sue Andrews Padgett.He was a member of Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church and a Master Mason in Maryland.He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and a brother. Surviving are his wife, Mildred Jones Padgett of the home; a son, Jimmie Allen (Clara) Padgett of Pamplico, SC; a daughter, Candace Jean (David) Hodge of Fredericksburg, VA; a sister, Anne Toone of Florence, SC; 5 grandchildren, James Donald (Michelle) Padgett of Georgetown, SC, Jabea Griffin of Pamplico, SC, Jaclyn (Rhett) Graves of Effingham, SC, James Wayne Hodge of Fredericksburg, VA, Cassie Denise Hodge of Fredericksburg, VA; 5 great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, October 30, 2010 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Friday, October 29, 2010 at the funeral home.
