James Ronald "Ronnie" Russ

James Ronald “Ronnie” Russ, 77, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. He was born in Dillon, South Carolina, the son of the late William “Willie” J. Russ and Thelma C. Russ. He was a retired manager of the Gate Petroleum convenience store on Evans St in Florence. He was also a member of Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter-in-law Kristi Russ; 5 brothers; 2 sisters. He is survived by his wife Janet L. Russ; sons, Ronald L. Russ, and G. Mark Russ; grandchildren, Ryan M. Boudreaux, and Sarah E. Dunn; great-grandchild, Noah Wade Dunn. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, May 8, 2023, at Claussen Church of Christ Cemetery on Diamond Head Loop, Florence.
