JAMES STEPHENS "STEVE" LEE FLORENCE, S.C. JAMES STEPHENS "STEVE" LEE, 67, of Florence, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mr. Lee was born in Florence, a son of the late James Madison Lee and Pearl Stephens Lee Truluck. He attended Southside Baptist Church and was a member of the Carolina Faith Riders. Mr. Lee had been employed with R.C. and 7-UP Bottling Company for 26 years, and was owner and operator of the UPS Stores and owned several rental properties in the community. He is survived by his wife of51 years, Connie Oliver Lee of Florence; his son, Robert Stephens "Robbie" Lee and wife Susan of Florence; a daughter-in-law, Karen Morris Lee of Cartersville; his sister, Barbara D. Lee of Marion; 3 grandchildren, Austin Lee, Houston Lee and Denton Lee, all of Florence, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 sons, James Stephens Lee, Jr. and Madison Timothy Lee, and a half sister, Thelma Brown Durant. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, August 1, 2011 in Southside Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery in Friendfield, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
