Jane Wells Duff

Jane Wells Duff, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2024, in Florence, SC. She will be deeply missed by her devoted children: M.J. Duff of Margate, FL; Julie Duff of Florence, SC; and Susan Kaczman (husband Daniel) of Oak Ridge, NC. Jane's love and guidance will forever remain in the hearts of her two cherished grandchildren: Ashley Razon (husband Earl James) of Charlotte, NC, and John Kaczman of Oak Ridge, NC. Jane was preceded in death by her loving husband, Joe Harold Duff, who passed away March 30, 2008. Together, they shared a lifetime of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Jane was born March 15, 1935, in Mars Hill, North Carolina to the late Harry A. Wells and Marie Odell Wells. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Harry Wells, George Wells, and Gladys Wells. Jane is survived by her brother, Luther Wells. In addition to her immediate family, Jane will be fondly remembered by her extended family and friends, who were touched by her kindness and grace. Jane also had a special place in her heart for her beloved cats, London and Grayson, who brought her comfort and companionship. Jane graduated from Women's College in June 1957, earning a degree in Home Economics. She was also involved with the Women's 4 H Club, Women's Investment Club, and the Florence Senior Center. She loved gardening, cooking, reading, sewing, square dancing and traveling with the love of her life Joe. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Ebenezer Church Building Fund in Jane's honor. https://www.ebcsc.com/giving/ A funeral service to celebrate Jane's life, will be held on May 15, 2024, at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 524 S Ebenezer Road, Florence, SC. Visitation will be held from 10-10:50 am in the lobby. Funeral Service at 11am in the Chapel, followed by a burial directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
