Janie Jordan

Janie Jordan, age 92, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2024, in Florence, South Carolina. She was born on December 3, 1931, in Hemingway, South Carolina. Janie was predeceased by her beloved husband, James Cyril Jordan Sr., as well as her children, James "Jimmy" Cyril Jordan Jr. and Thomas "Tommy" Wilson Jordan. She was also preceded in death by her sisters Virginia Goud Chandler, June Goud Truluck, and Theodocia Goud Jones. She is survived by her grandchildren, James "Jay" Cyril Jordan III and Leslie Aaron Jordan Outlaw, and her great-grandchildren, Dylan Outlaw, Wyatt Outlaw, and Penelope Jordan. Janie worked for many years in accounting at Young Pecan Company. A dedicated member of Evergreen Baptist Church, she faithfully led and organized missions throughout her life, leaving a lasting impact on her community and her church family. A memorial service to honor her life will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at Evergreen Baptist Church, located at 6316 Pamplico Hwy, Effingham, SC 29541. The family will receive friends at the church starting at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janie's memory to the Evergreen Baptist Church for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering, a cause she held close to her heart.
