Jeffery Lewis Vent Sr.

Jeffery Lewis Vent Sr., 68, of Hartsville, SC, passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023. He was born in Sikeston, MO, the son of the late Darrell Vent and Velda “Rinky” Irvin. He was an avid hunter, who loved old school hot rods and was considered a Jack of all trades. Mr. Vent worked for Semo Health Network for many years, until he had to resign due to disability. He also served many years in the US Navy, including time on the USS Inchon. He is preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his son Jeffery (Miranda Mills) Vent Jr., of Florence, SC; daughter, Brittany Vent, of Texas; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Alexis Douglas) Vent and Sierra Vent, of Florence, SC; great-grandchildren, Kinleigh Jenkins and Ryan Jenkins, of Florence, SC; brother, Donnie (Cathy) Vent, of Jonesboro, AR; sisters, Gayle (Raymond) Childs, of Morehouse, MO, and Sherri (Phil) Kerr, of Dardenne Prairie, MO; nieces and nephews, Brian Vent, Kevin Vent, Jennifer Turner, Stephanie Baughn, Zach Kerr, Adam Kerr; and uncle, Glyn (Pat) Duncan, of Long Beach, CA. Cremation services were provided by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Per the request of the family, no memorial service is to take place.
