Jerry Miller Hood, Jr.

Jerry Miller Hood, Jr., 58, of Florence, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023. Mr. Hood was born in Charleston, SC a son of the late Jerry Miller Hood and Eddie Mae Powell Hood. He was a carpenter by trade. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Natalie Michelle Hood. Surviving are his wife, Billie Matthews Hood of Florence; daughters, Ashley (Jammie) Coleman and Priscilla (Joey) Byrd; brother, Terry Hood; nephews, Scott, Eddie, Jerry, and Wyatt Hood; step-son, Tyler (Larissa Price) Thomas; step-daughter, Beth (Nick) Lester; grandchildren, Amantha Byrd, Gage Byrd, Abigail Thomas, and Mason Coleman; step-grandchildren, C.J. Price and Corbin Hepburn; mother-in-law, Gloria Matthews; sister-in-law, Susan Matthews. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm Monday, April 3, 2023 at St. John Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
