JERRY JUVONE CARROLL FLORENCE, S.C. Jerry JuVone Carroll, 64, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, in a local healthcare facility after an illness. Mr. Carroll was born in Whiteville, NC, a son of the late Andrew J. Carroll and Angeleta Godwin Carroll.He was a veteran of the US Navy, having served in Vietnam.Mr. Carroll retired from IBM/Eastman Kodak as a field engineer after thirty-three years of service.He was a member of Palmetto Street Church of God and past director of the Pee Dee H.O.G. Chapter. Surviving are his wife, Joyce Jackson Carroll; his daughters, Kimberly Carroll (Chris) George of Pamplico, SC and Cindy Carroll (Eric) Belk of Florence, SC; his sister, Tresia Milhaupt of New Mexico;and three grandchildren, Sara Catherine Reid, Sophie Elizabeth Belk and Laura Mason Belk. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2012, at Palmetto Street Church of Goddirected by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow in Florence National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
