Jerry Yarborough, Sr.

Jerry Yarborough Sr., 77, of Timmonsville, SC, passed away on March 14, 2023. Mr. Yarborough was born in Sanford, NC, a son of the late Prentice Albert Yarborough, Sr. and Aileen Ruth Truelove Yarborough. He was a US Army veteran having served in Vietnam. He loved doing yardwork and gardening, fishing, watching boxing, and was the owner of Yarborough Auto Parts. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda “Carol” Bellamy Yarborough; son, David Wayne Yarborough; brother, Prentice Yarborough, Jr.; sisters, Linda Waddell and Ruby Barbour; son-in-law, Mark Courtney. Surviving are his sons, Jason (Nichol) Creel and Jerry (Amy) Yarborough, Jr.; daughters, Lianne Courtney and Misty (Timmy) Wiggins; 12 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren; sister, Cathy Cantey. Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, PO Box 4860, Florence, SC 29502. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm Monday, March 20, 2023 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow.
