Jesse J. "Buddy" Caulder, Jr.

Jesse J. “Buddy” Caulder, Jr., 74, of Florence, SC, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2025. Mr. Caulder was born in Marion, SC, the son of the late Jesse J. Caulder, Sr. and Sarah Jane Burroughs. He was a delivery driver with a local auto parts store and worked as a service advisor for multiple auto dealerships. Mr. Caulder loved his family dearly and enjoyed watching his grandchildrens’ sports events. He also loved fishing and shrimping, beach music and country music. He was an avid traveler and a South Carolina Gamecock fan. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his grandson, Kale Pinder; sisters, Mary Alice Curbow, Joan Floyd and Gwen Floyd; mother-in-law, Pearline Campbell and father-in-law, Melvin “Junior” Campbell. Surviving are his loving wife of 51 years, Shelby Caulder; children, Gary (Rachel) Caulder, Leslie (Larry) Adams, Robert Sweeting and Jessica (Kevin) Pinder; grandchildren, Stone (Anna) Caulder, Blakely (Dylan Berg) Adams, Chance Caulder, Blaire Adams, Tristen Caulder, Robbie Reynolds, Kara Pinder, Anderson Sweeting and Victoria Horne; great-grandchildren, Emma Grace Jones, Jayda Reynolds and Riley Reynolds and special friends, Robert and Margaret Sweeting. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, at Stoudenmire Dowling Funeral Home and other times at 2013 Butterfly Lake Drive, Florence, SC. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at Stoudenmire Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
