Joann Gannon Talbott

JoAnn Gannon Talbott, 78, of Florence, SC, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Ms. Talbott was born in Charleston, WV, the daughter of the late Joesph Raymond Gannon and Wanda Mace Gannon. She was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Ms. Talbott received a double major and the title Summa Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee. She was a long-time distinguished realtor in Florence. She was the First Female Realtor Emeritus in SC, and she served on the State Board of Realtors. Her engaging personality touched all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Ellen Gannon. Surviving is her son, Joe Talbott; daughter, Cristi DeWitt; grandchildren, Megan Talbott, Brittany Talbott, and Jackson Talbott; and sister, Jennie Gannon Gerace of Johnson City, TN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, March 4, 2024, at St. Anthony Catholic Church 2536 Hoffmeyer Rd. Entombment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to All for Autism at palmettopartnership.org/memorials-honorariums.
