JOEY MIKEL OLIVER FLORENCE, SC JOEY MIKEL OLIVER, 61, of Florence, died Sunday, December 5, 2010 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mr. Oliver was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Hazelton Blease Oliver and Eva Matthews Oliver.He was a member of the Faith Riders Motorcycle Club and a member of South Florence Baptist Church, where he was a member of the Couples #4 Sunday School Class.He was formerly employed with General Electric of Florence. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harry Lee Oliver. Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Melody Chastain Oliver of the home; sons, Brad (Kristy) Oliver of Effingham and Clay (Keishiah) of Florence; brother, Barry (Lois) Oliver of Timmonsville; sisters, Frances (John) Callahan of Florence and Sara (Henry) Leith of Deltona, FL; grandchildren, Jordon Oliver, Mackenzie Oliver, Colin Oliver, Noah Oliver and Dawson Oliver; sister-in-law, Shelby Oliver of Florence. Memorials may be made to the South Florence Baptist Church Building Fund, 2720 South Irby Street, Florence, SC29505. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at South Florence Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
