John Harry Makris

John Harry Makris, 57, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2022. Mr. Makris was born in Spartanburg, SC a son of Bessie Vasiliki Kexrimparis Makris and the late Harry Pete Makris. Surviving are his mother of Florence; brother, Peter Makris of Myrtle Beach, SC; ex-sister-in-law, Ann Makris of Florence; niece, Connor Makris and nephew, Harrison Makris. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in John’s honor to the Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church, 2990 South Cashua Drive, Florence, SC 29501. Private funeral ceremonies will take place with immediate family only at the Greek Orthodox Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
