John Phillip Purvis

John Phillip “J.P.” Purvis, 29, of Darlington, passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022. J.P. was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Tammy Gail Caulder Harper and had worked as a landscaper. He was preceded in death by his mother and by his aunt, Diane Caulder. He is survived by his sons, Phillip Gage Purvis and Noah Mason Purvis; his uncle who raised him, Paul (Elaine) Purvis of Florence; fiancee, Amber Filyaw; brother, Ronald “Jason” (Heather) Blakely of Florence; aunts and uncles, Sheryl (Bubba) Perkins, Rodney (Judy) Caulder, Raymond Caulder, Keith Purvis, Edward Purvis, and a host of cousins. The family will have a church led memorial service at 6:00 pm Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Grace Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to his children’s trust fund, in care of Grace Baptist Church, 2400 Third Loop Road, Florence, SC 29501.
