John S. Rogers

John S. Rogers, 88, of Darlington, SC passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Mr. Rogers was born in Florence Co., SC a son of the late Robert Mandeville Rogers and Myrtle Louise Frye Rogers.He was a US Army veteran having served in the Korean War, was an Installer for Summerford Heating and Air for 35 years, and loved to work on John Deere tractors.John was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Darlington. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Emma Rogers; brother, Robert M. Rogers, Sr.; sister, Mary Louise Vause. Surviving are his son, John Steven Rogers of Murrells Inlet; grandchildren, April Jackson, Heather Owens, and Brittni Quick; great-grandchildren, August Jackson, Tyson Jackson, Sean Owens, Heather Owens, Nicole Owens, Jesslynn Owens, and Emmarie Quick; brother, Lynn Rogers; sister, Cornelia Rogers; and a number of nieces, nephews, and extended family. Memorials may be made to Agape Hospice, 1929 Mountain Laurel Court, Florence, SC29505. The family will receive friends 11:00 am – 12:00 noon Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 12:00 in the funeral home chapel.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
