Johnnie Mae Tilton Mcknight

Johnnie Mae Tilton McKnight, 72, of Pamplico, SC, passed away on Monday, September 16, 2024. She was born in Lake City, SC, the daughter of the late Johnny Woodrow Tilton and Alice Lena Mae Hart Tilton. Mrs. McKnight was a claims processor for Blue Cross Blue Shield for 18 years before retiring in 2014. She was the matriarch of the family and ruled the roost. Mrs. McKnight was a hardworking woman who loved her family dearly. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Roger Wayne Tilton; sister, Ann Tyler and granddaughter, Elizabeth. Surviving is her loving husband, Basil Glenn McKnight; son, Stephen “Bo” (Tamara) McKnight, of Pamplico, SC, daughter, Angela Hinkle, of Lexington, NC, grandchildren, Jacob, Michael, Christian, William, Stephen, and Lindsay; six great-grandchildren; and brother, D. Steve Tilton, of Atlanta, GA. Memorial service will be held on 1:00 PM, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. A visitation will be held an hour prior from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM, on Friday, September 20, 2024, at Stoudemire-Dowling Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Florence National Cemetery.
