Johnny Evans Jr

Johnny Evans, Jr. Darlington, SC Johnny Evans, Jr., 70, of Darlington, passed away Sunday, February 26, 2012 in the McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Evans was born in Pamplico, a son of the late Johnny Evans, Sr. and Mary Olive Miles Smith. He was a Shriner and a member of the Provost Guard Unit. Mr. Evans was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Evans, Sr. and by his mother, Mary Olive Miles Smith. Mr. Evans is survived by his children, Steve (Lisa) Evans, and Cindy Evans, both of Pamplico; 3 grandchildren, Sheena Evans (Richard) Erwin of Coward, Logan Bradford Evans of Pamplico, and Jessica Dawn Evans of Darlington; 2 great-grandchildren, Landon Ray Evans, and StevenCade Erwin, both of Coward; a sister, Barbara Ann Hinson of Dillon; 3 brothers, Jimmy (Jenna) Evans of New Jersey, Jerry (Rose) Evans of Florence, and Billy (Bertha) Evans of Pamplico; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 6:00PM Tuesday, February 28, 2012 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends 5-6:00PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
