Johnny G. Branton

JOHNNY G. BRANTON FLORENCE, S.C. Johnny G. Branton, 77, of Florence, passed away Friday, July 15, 2011 in the McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mr. Branton was born in Loris, a son of the late Ruth Jones Branton Lewis. He was a US Air Force Veteran, and had been Parts Manager for Bob Bywater Motors before becoming disabled. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Rotan "Bobbie" Branton of Florence; his daughter, Sarabeth B. Alexander of Florence; his Daughter-In-Law, Anita A. Branton of Florence; his Sister, Nellie Ruth Roberts of Myrtle Beach, five Grandchildren and five Great-Grandchildren and a number of Nieces and Nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, 2 brothers, Reynolds Branton and Jesse G. Branton, and by a son, Wayne N. Branton. Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M. Sunday, July 17, 2011 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Mount Hope Mausoleum. Mrs. Branton and the family wish to express their appreciation to special friends and neighbors, Wendell and Diane Rogers. The family suggests memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
