Johnny Lanue Gaskins

Johnny Lanue Gaskins Florence, SC Johnny Lanue Gaskins, 66, passed away at his home in Florence on Sunday, July 3, 2011 following a brief illness. Mr. Gaskins was born in Lake City, a son of Essie Lee Humphries Gaskins of Darlington and the late Buie McQueen Gaskins of Lake City.He was a US Army Veteran and was employed by Scott's Pest Control, Inc. of Florence.Johnny was an avid gardener and a member of College Park Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his father and sister, Emily Marie Gaskins McElveen of New Zion. In addition to his mother, surviving is his wife of 42 years, Annie Sue Hayes Gaskins and his daughter, Jennifer Susan Gaskins Howell both of Florence. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, July 6, 2011 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in the Gaskins Cemetery in Lake City. Memorials may be made to the Covenant House, 460 West 41st Street, New York, NY 10036-6801. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Wednesday at the funeral Home.
