Jonelle Harrelson

Jonelle Harrelson, 80, of Florence, passed away on Thursday, March 2, 2023. Mrs. Harrelson was born in Mullins, SC, the daughter of the late Edward Pickens Johnson and Beatrice Johnson. She was very active at Northgate Baptist Church and passionate about the senior citizens. She loved playing the piano and singing gospel hymns. She was always smiling and loved spending time with her family. Her contagious laugh will be greatly missed. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Thomas Carroll Harrelson; son, Keith Harrelson of Florence, SC; daughter, Kelly Harrelson of Florence, SC; brother, Harold Johnson of Jacksonville, FL; 2 nieces, 1 nephew, many loving cousins, and her feline lap companion, J.J. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florence Humane Society, PO Box 4808, Florence, SC 29502 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 pm Sunday, March 5, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to be held at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. A private burial will be held after the service.
