Joseph Earl Benton

Joseph Earl Benton, 53, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, January 14, 2023. Mr. Benton was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Grady Benton; daughters, Shannon Smith and Ashley Heyward McPherson. Surviving are his mother, Ida Mae Gerkin; brother, Stevie Benton; wife, Susan Heyward Benton; sons, Michael “Mikey”, Mason, Joseph “J.J.” , Travis, and Trey Benton, Andra “TJ” (Daniella) Smith and Joseph McPherson; daughters, Angel Wallace, Charlene Wallace and Kacey Johnson; nephews, Joshua Benton and Blake Heyward; nieces, Taylor Benton, Sierra Benton, and Chelsea Heyward, and 18 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the family to receive friends immediately following the service.
