Joseph A. Turner

Joseph A. Turner, Jr. of Florence, South Carolina passed away on September 18, 2021 at the age of 66. Joe was born to Joseph Turner, Sr. and Ruth Turner on March 4, 1955.An independent and vibrant personality from the beginning, Joe excelled in all that he did.He worked at Raytheon as an Engineer for many years before opening his own plant nursery.He then opened the Phoenix Grille in Florence where he enjoyed spending most of his time.The Phoenix Grille was not only his job, but it’s where he was able to meet many great friends. Joe enjoyed working in his yard and was a classic car enthusiast, owning several of his favorite models throughout his lifetime.He also enjoyed watching sports and was a devoted Gamecock fan through thick and thin. Joe is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joanne Turner Lawson. He is survived by his nephew, Mr. Todd Anderson, as well as an endless number of loving and special friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 6:30 PM on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel to honor Joe.
