Joshua "Kaden" Allen

February 9, 2005 — December 7, 2024

Joshua Kaden Allen, 19 years old, of Florence, SC, entered into the presence of the Lord on Saturday December 7th, 2024. He was born on February 9th, 2005 in York, SC to Howard Jeffery and Dori Benton Allen. Kaden was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Rev. Howard and Nancy Allen. Surviving are his parents, brothers Caleb and Collin, and his maternal grandparents John and Mary Benton. In his early childhood years, Kaden was funny, adventurous, and inventive. He loved to be outdoors and to tinker with anything he could tear down and rebuild. He loved music and began to play drums at an early age. He also loved anything with wheels and enjoyed mountain biking, four wheeling, and later driving his Jeep on rocky trails. He grew to be a passionate, strong-willed, and independent young man. He became a gifted drummer and used his talent to serve God in worship. He was also skillful in mechanic and auto body work and attended Florence Darlington Technical College in the Auto Collision and Repair program with plans to open his own custom body shop. Kaden loved life, loved God, loved his friends and family, and kept everyone laughing. He found joy in the smallest things. His infectious smile and incredible courage, even in suffering, inspired many. His unwavering faith in God and strength from God to never give up is what will continue to carry his family and friends until the day they will be reunited with him. Just as he was named Joshua: meaning “the Lord is my salvation” and Kaden: “warrior,” he bravely fought and received victory over death into eternal life with his Savior. The celebration of his life will be Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at the Church at Sandhurst in Florence, SC directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Visitation in the fellowship hall will begin at 1:00 pm, and the worship/celebration service will begin at 3:00 pm in the worship center. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Children’s Cancer Research Fund at https://childrenscancer.org/donate/. The family wishes to thank the entire community for their love and support during Kaden’s battle with Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma.
