Joyce Campbell Flowers

Joyce Campbell Flowers, 80, of Florence passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 20th, 2023, at Pee Dee Gardens Assisted Living Facility. Mrs. Flowers was born the daughter of the late James and Altha Johnson. She worked at Delta Mills in Pamplico, SC for 35 years and Coastal Carolina University for 10 years. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband’s Curtis Legrand Flowers and Joel Edward Campbell; her brothers, James Kenneth Johnson, David Lamar Johnson and Jerry Allen Johnson. Mrs. Flowers is survived by her daughters Brenda (Paul) Kennedy, Florence, SC; Elaine (Glenn) Hatfield, Effingham, SC. Her brother Ronald Johnson, Brittons Neck, SC and her sister Marilyn Hoffmeyer, Richfield, NC. Stepsons Thomas (Mary) Flowers of Spotsylvania, VA and Samuel Todd Flowers of Cottageville, SC; grandchildren April (Chris) NeSmith, Andrea Munn (Phil Macatangay), Jeremy (Logan) Hatfield, Brittany Hatfield. Kate Flowers, Emma Flowers, Abbey Flowers, Davis Flowers, and Garrett (Raina) Flowers. Great-grandchildren Seth Bellflowers, Connor NeSmith, Payton NeSmith, Kaylee NeSmith, Londyn Macatangay, Easton Macatangay, JD Hatfield, Levi Hatfield, and Amelia Flowers. “Grandmomma” loved her family and adored those grandbabies. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, eating ice cream and was always full of life. Special thanks to the Pee Dee Gardens staff, Agape Care Group staff, and her many care givers for the excellent care and love they provided to her during this time. Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 30th, 2023, at 11AM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
